I built this because I needed it.

The story

I pay around $80 a month across Claude Pro, ChatGPT Plus, and Cursor. That is the floor, before I add Perplexity, before I think about Cursor's agent ramping over the month, before I notice that Cursor's slow-request quota disappears halfway through the month.

One Thursday afternoon, mid-task, Claude told me "You've reached your limit." Three hours of work in flight, no warning, no prediction. None of the dashboards I pay for had told me I was about to hit a wall I could not see.

I am not the only one. I built claudeKarma as a free Chrome extension to track Claude's rolling 5-hour window in the toolbar. Two thousand people installed it: developers, writers, lawyers, recruiters, translators, anyone paying for AI. Every reaction was the same: "now do ChatGPT", "now do Cursor", "now do them all in one place".

Tokenkarma is that place.

Who built this

I am Jean-Rémi Larcelet-Prost, an indie maker based in Paris. Around ten years of building product across web, mobile, and infra. I shipped claudeKarma as a free OSS extension to 2,000 users. Tokenkarma turns that lesson into a paid Mac app that watches every AI subscription you have.

Mission

The LLM providers want you to keep paying. Their dashboards are designed to surface confidence and minimize friction, not to help you decide when to cancel a $20/month subscription you have not used in three weeks.

We are on the user's side, by construction. Our AI analysis tells you which subscription to cancel. Our extensions warn you 30 minutes before you hit the wall. Our app stays local-first. We never read your prompts. Different incentives. Different product.

Why Founders pricing exists

The Mac app is what I always wanted to ship. The Founders cohort is how I fund the next three months of building it while staying away from VC pressure. $9€9 lifetime if you join before June 1, 2026, then $29€29 lifetime for everyone else. Founders keep their price forever, even after the cohort closes.

If you've hit the same wall I have, we will get along.

What we ask in return

With your explicit consent at purchase, we store anonymous usage signals: timestamps, token counts, model identifiers, provider names. Never the content of your prompts or responses. Never your auth tokens. Those stay on your machine, encrypted in macOS Keychain.

That data feeds the AI analysis you get for three months. After that, historical storage and analysis become a paid Cloud subscription. Founders get the first three months on the house.

Want to opt out? You can delete everything in one click via Settings → Privacy in the app. We will keep your Founder access regardless. We may also send you one short email every few weeks asking specific product questions: reply if you want, ignore if you don't.

Open source heritage

claudeKarma versions 1.0 to 1.2 stay MIT-licensed forever. The new monorepo (Mac app, backend, future extensions) is closed source so I can take care of pricing and the cohort properly. The five per-LLM extensions remain free to install and inspectable on the stores.

Open source is not a marketing layer. It is what got me to ~2,000 users and what gave me the right to build this app at all. I am keeping the parts that should stay open, open.

Public roadmap

The Founders cohort votes the next provider integrations (Gemini / Cursor / Grok). Founders submit roadmap input via the in-app feedback feed at launch in June 2026. Until then, the roadmap lives in this site:
